This beautiful casino, opened in May 2007 and is designed by world renowned architect Mario Botta. Campione is an Italian enclave situated in the Ticino region of Switzerland, 60 km north of Milan. The casino has nine floors and is one of the biggest in Europe. The casino will provide all casino games and of course numerous slots. The EMOP tournament will be held on the ninth floor with a magnificent view of Lake Lugano.
There will also be all kind of cash games and sit n goes available.
Venue
Hotel packages
For this event we will not have set packages including hotel . For winners of €2,000 satellites online at the Entraction network, we will send €900 for travel and accommodation in to the poker accounts.
The reason for not providing set packages is the problems to find big hotels in the area and therefore the difficulty to provide the service required for the players.
There are numerous hotels in Lugano which is the closest town (aprox 9km), and from Lugano there are bus services to Campione.
Alternative to bus services is a ferry service that runs regularly from Lugano to Campione throughout the day (takes aprox 15 mins).
Other information
Campione is an Italian enclave in the Ticino region of Switzerland. The currency in the casino is Swiss francs. Close airports is Milano (60 Km) and Bergamo (Note that the cheap company Ryan Air is flying directly to Bergamo) in Italy. There are buses from central Milano to Campione. There are also buses from Milan Malpensa to Lugano (www.starstation.ch). A great idea, if you travel in company, is to rent a car. The scenery around Campione is spectacular.
